hello my name is the identity issue

I posted about this on Instagram, but I’ll say it here too. This issue was a challenge!! Our contributors can relate, I’m sure.

At one point, I was on the floor of my bedroom crying because I just wanted the release to go seamlessly. But, that’s the beauty of life, right? You might see me walking around campus, wearing yellow, and think oh man: there’s the girl who runs her own magazine.

But that’s not really who I am. Thank goodness, it’s not as glamorous as it seems. Yeah, it’s super cool: but when you see the purple ribbon next to the VICTORY issue (it actually won an award at my school!!) you might be tempted to be scared, to think you could never do something like that.

But girl.

YOU. CAN.

See, we’re Fighters. God didn’t give us the spirit of fear. He gave us the power to be Overcomers. To be not only Dreamers, but Doers.

He’s given us the right to mess up, to fail, but to also know that He’s had that part of our story written since before eternity. And, what’s more, He has an Amazing Plan to use that part of our story to encourage others.

Now, I didn’t do anything crazy like print off ten copies of a blank book on accident (at least, as far as I know . . .). But this is just your reminder that there’s always blood, sweat, and tears. If you’re struggling with the hardness of life, or maybe just the ugly side of your dream you’re chasing, just remember that that’s all part of the process.

For our Identity issue, I designed a cellphone background and I really think it’s encouraging. It’s a list of some of our God-given identities.

As far as the issue goes there are three ways to purchase!
